Show Notes

We have many thoughts in our brains that lead to feelings and actions that keep us from living a life free of type 2 diabetes. Cognitive behavioral therapists call many of these cognitive distortions. Cognitive distortions are thought processes that lead to misinterpretations of experiences we have. Frequently these thoughts are over exaggerations or irrational understandings of the events in our lives. These misunderstandings lead us to stop trying. Either the thought error makes us believe it's too hard, it's impossible, or it won't matter anyway. These adulterations of reality block us from creating the lives we want--free from type 2 diabetes. This episode describes these distortions, gives examples, and gives us a process for deconstructing these thoughts so that we can move past them. Check it out!
